Nikki Goldberg

Nikki effortlessly balances a multitude of tasks as expert color specialist, salon manager, special activity coordinator, point person for white glove services, lead stylist and event collaborator at the Stuart Hirsch Salon.

Collected, professional, focused, dedicated and personable, Nikki is motivated by a singular professional aim, customer satisfaction through high caliber work. Not only a renowned colorist, Nikki is the go-to girl for the salon's special services as well as agent for all of the salon's sought after and in demand stylists.

Trained in her hometown of London, Nikki began her stellar career at the tender age of 16. A member of the esteemed Goldberg Family, she skillfully continues her family's 100 year history of salon experience and, notably, is the first woman in her family tree to further the century of styling.

Now in her fifth year as a New York resident, this self proclaimed happy, single, downtown girl is forging her own path while simultaneously elevating the esteemed history of her ancestry.

We are thrilled that New York has become a highlight of her story and hope she continues to extend her services to our side of the pond for many years to come.

Hilly Ulysses

Hillel began cutting hair at the age of twelve, and has been cutting hair professionally for over a decade. He spent 5 years working at The Toni&Guy advanced academy on Madison Ave, and after 3 years at The Cutler Salon on 57th street, decided to take his craft downtown to The Stuart Hirsch Salon, enjoying a busy, yet laid-back atmosphere. Among the many professional models and bourgeoning actors and actresses he styles, many of his clients are everyday people who care very much about their appearance, and trust him for his patience, listening skill, and of course for his hair cutting expertise.

Nicole Blais
Title: Stylist

Nicole Blais was only thirteen when she started working in salons.  After working at a series of salons throughout her teenage years, Nicole landed at Warren-Tricomi at a mere twenty-years-old.  There, Nicole trained with a number of top stylists including owner Edward Tricomi.  In 2007, Nicole broke away from the stuffy uptown vibe and came to more relaxed and hip atmosphere of Stuart Hirsch Salon.

Nicole has since become the stylist of choice for top models such as Julie Ordon and Jessica Stam.  She also cuts the hair of celebrities such as Johnny and Michele Damon, MTV VJ Tim Kash, and Petra Nemcova and her hair extensions can be seen on supermodel May Andersen and Playboy model Sandra Nilsson.  Nicole has done the hair for numerous editorial shoots, television programs, and fashion shows, including being the key hair designer for the Inca 2007 collection.

Whether Nicole is styling the hair of a supermodel or a NYU student, she gives her clients her undivided attention, care, and skills, making sure they feel like rock stars when they leave her chair.

Known for creating the entire image Sean Gallagher has been designing his signature look of "deconstructed glamor" for over 15 years. Having trained with some of the industry's most influential stylists and colorists including Oribe, Denilo, Kim Lepiene, and Daniel Galvin, Sean's career has been shaped by the preeminent/prominent figures in New York City hair by some of NYC most renowned salons. Such as Bumble and Bumble, Oribe Salon, Warren Tricomi, including extensive apprentship at Vidal Sasson, and La Coupe before joining Red Market. 

His looks have appeared on the runways of todays most fashion forward designers including Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Bagley Michka and Ralph Rucci. His work work has also graced the covers of premier and celebrated magazines Nylon, W, Spin, Max, Next, Razor, and Blackbook. a favorite of todays most stylish starlets, Sean has styled the locks of Rosario Dawson, both Jessica and Ashley Simpson, Mira Sorvino, Jamie Presley, as well as todays top fashion models Giselle Bundchen, Frankie Ryder, Caran Elsea, Adriana Lima, and Petra Nemcova.

Sean continues to develop and perfect his craft by attending advanced training forums held by well established color companies such as Wella,  Fromessi, Schewarzkopf, Lorelle, and Redken. Kaori

Kaori started as a colorist over a decade ago in Tokyo, where she built a reputation for excellence, servicing upwards of three hundred clients a month.  Kaori studied in London, Paris, and New York.  Kaori brought her knowledge back to teach seminars to literally thousands of cosmetologists throughout Japan.  Kaori’s work was also featured in many beauty magazines in Japan.
Kaori moved to New York in 2004, and began working at Warren-Tricomi, before coming to Stuart Hirsch.  Kaori has quickly built up many regular clients, an expert in, although not limited to, Asian hair.  Kaori’s favorite is turning raven-haired clients into seemingly natural blonds, as well as enriching the beauty of any client with her graceful, delicate highlights.

Anthony Paolino

Anthony Paolino began his career in beauty from a route less traveled: cooking.  After graduating from Johnson and Wales University, Anthony still found himself more drawn to the craft and artistry of hair color.  His passion for precision and methodical measurements inherited from his culinary training were combined with his love of beauty when he graduated beauty school and trained at Warren-Tricomi for three years.
Anthony creates the exact color his clients desire while remaining staunch about maintaining the structural integrity of his clients’ hair.  Anthony dedicates himself to his client's happiness and makes sure each one is as carefully attended to as a luscious souffle.  Anthony has trained in Redken, L'Oreal, and Wella color classes and also specializes in corrective color.

MICHELLE LEE

Meet Michelle Lee, the manicurist of your dreams. Recommended to Stuart Hirsch by mutual friends, this strongly motivated, intelligent import has perfected the art of the varied and extensive services she renders. From her incredible brow waxing techniques and sensitive touch full body waxing to fabulous chip resistant mani/pedis, Michelle is your go-to-girl for all of your personal grooming needs.

The first choice for private, at-home nail care for several notable celebrities and models, she is in high demand, and her talents are on target. (What is that secret weapon Michelle uses to make your manicure chip-free for a week at a time?) Michelle's specialty salon skills coupled with high attention to detail, serve only as a backdrop to her affable, courteous and customer oriented disposition.

Having moved to New York from Korea only 2 years ago, this woman is catching New York by surprise. In her second year in the salon business, her deft skill and artistic integrity belie her brief tenure.

Although, Michelle is poised to become a champion of the New York grooming industry, don't think we've won her over yet. A full-time student studying Computer Technology, Michelle is being wooed by the cool and calculating world of geeks and debuggers.

It is with great enthusiasm we introduce you to the future of the Stuart Hirsch Salon. Described as perfect representatives of the talent, focus, and level of technique the Stuart Hirsch Salon requires, these young colleagues will form not only the future of the salon, but the future of the styling industry itself.

Currently in training under the masterful tutelage of salon Manager and styling expert, Nikki, the assistants' curriculum abides by only the highest upscale salon performance standards. The assistants' unbridled ambition, eagerness to learn, alarming aptitude, and passion for styling have warranted the compression of their training time from the usual 2-3 years to a commendable and brief 18 months.

This skilled and energetic batch of new creators continuously focuses on the what many may consider the most important aspects of beautification: white-glove customer care and VIP service for all clients as well as the stylists and artisans who surround and inspire them.

These fledgling entrepreneurs will some day become the leaders and trend-setters for high-styled masses. andthegirls welcome each of these new practitioners to the wondrous world of styling and congratulate them for their selection and success!
